News: Twilight's Alex Meraz Blasts Valentine’s Day and Twilight's Taylor Lautner

New Moon star Alex Meraz took a shot at the upcoming blockbuster Valentine’s Day, posting critical comments on his twitter account yesterday. Meraz first tweeted: “Sorry Taylor [Lautner] but the movie ‘valentines day’ looks lame and desperate it cries out ‘look we have all the biggest starz in 1movie pleez watch!”
Meraz later retreated from his criticism, posting an hour later: "P.S. it has nothing to do with the talented actors in the movie I just don't like the producer & Directors ‘get rich quick skeem’ nuff said." He backpedaled even further after that, tweeting: "Talk about biting the hand that feeds me..but I'm a wolf for crying out loud! I'll be careful next time I spill twitter all over everyone."
Meraz may be right about Valentine’s Day, but how can a teen idol whose abdominals propelled him to fame criticize any movie as a “get rich quick skeem.” What would he call his own Twilight series? High art? His credibility is further strained by his use of twatspeak, spelling words like "please," "one" and "scheme" as “pleez,” “1” and “skeem.”
Valentine’s Day opens Friday, February 12. The film features over a dozen of Hollywood hottest stars, including Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Julia Roberts and Ashton Kutcher.
