I feel like a super big slacker. I only watched a few movies this last week. *sigh* I blame my husband moving back and me being busy with life. Anyway, what did I watch last week? Let's see, I watched: -Wednesday: Princess Diaries 2. The entire time I kept thinking "hm, the main love interest is Captain James T. Kirk from Star Trek. This is very weird. And he's way cuter in this movie than he is in Star Trek (mostly because my attention was immediately captured by the lovely Zachary Quinto, hah)." The movie also made me realize just how much I love Anne Hathaway. She was a weird-looking, ungraceful teenager in the first Princess Diaries and has since grown into a beautiful, talented actress. Granted, this is a very silly movie, but she and the divine Julie Andrews, make this a not-so-guilty pleasure. -Friday: Terminator 2. I am kind of ashamed to admit that this was the very first time I had ever watched this movie. And to be honest, I was watching it at a house party so the movie was muted the whole time. So it probably wasn't the best way to watch. But still and all, I liked the movie a lot. I also have not watched the original Terminator so that did not help. I was very confused the entire time and kept bugging my husband to tell me what was going on. Time travels + complicated plot also did not help. My curiosity was peaked enough though so that I plan on sitting down sometime to watch Terminators 1-4. -Saturday: The pen is....ROOOOYAL BLUE. Yep, even after all these years, Liar Liar is still a funny movie. Jim Carrey might be on my blacklist but his old classics (Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, etc) still tickle my funny bones. Following Liar Liar, I watched Ponyo with my sister. We're both big Hayao Miyazaki fans so it was a good experience for us both. The movie was weird (of course) but not as bizarre as his usual films. The English dubbing wasn't too bad either. I rather liked Liam Neeson as the dad. And the little Jonas brother who played Sosuke was pretty good.
I feel like I'm missing some movies but I can't remember what they were. Bummer!
